Pro Tools Fundamentals II (PT110)
The Pro Tools Fundamentals II (PT110) course builds on the foundational skills introduced in Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101) and expands students’ ability to confidently operate the latest version of Pro Tools in mid-sized, professional recording and post-production sessions.
This course bridges the gap between beginner and intermediate workflows, focusing on session organization, efficient editing, advanced recording techniques, and practical mixing strategies. Students will learn how to design and manage sessions intended for commercial music, film, and media production while improving both technical proficiency and creative outcomes using current Pro Tools tools and workflows.
Through hands-on, project-based exercises, students gain experience setting up complex sessions, working with digital video, utilizing loop recording and MIDI Merge techniques, integrating virtual instruments, applying Elastic Audio for time and tempo manipulation, using Real-Time Properties, creating clip loops, and applying signal processing. The course also emphasizes automation, submixing, and grouping techniques to streamline workflow and simplify the final mix process using modern Pro Tools features.
Together with Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101), this course provides the training required to prepare for the Avid Certified User: Pro Tools | Software certification exam.
